One of the most famous landmarks of Venice, recognized around the world, the Rialto Bridge is in an excellent location in the city for tourists.  It overlooks the famous Grand Canal.  It’s only five minutes from St. Mark’s Square, (Piazzo San Marco), and close to the Mercerie, which is interesting to walk along.  You will find shops with Murano glass, embroidery and lace.  For those looking for designer shops, they are all here:  Prada, Gucci, Cartier, Louis Vuitton and others.  You will also find fruit markets and the famous fish market.  Be sure also to visit the famous art galleries of Venice, the Gallerie dell’Accademia and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.

The following hotels mentioned in this article are near the Rialto Bridge and are worth looking into.

If your budget will only allow you to stay in 1 star hotels in Venice, try the Hotel Caneva is the most inexpensive hotel with good hotel reviews.  Other one star hotels near the Rialto Bridge include the Noemi Hotel and the Al Gazzettino Hotel.

These cheap hotels in Venice won’t break the bank and are about ten minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge.  You can make your Venice hotel reservations online, but be sure to check different hotel booking websites because sometimes you will find the rates differ between sites and some offer Venice hotel deals.  And, if the hotel has its own website, they usually offer a cheaper rate as well.  Don’t forget to make you Venice hotel reservation in advance of the high season if you are travelling then to Venice.  You might not be able to book the hotel you want because Venice gets many, many tourists practically all year round.
